The Perfect 10s
What entertainment would I rate as a perfect 10? The intent of this page is to answer that question and highlight the best of the best that I have enjoyed throughout my life. Reviews of each may eventually show up as blog entries in the future, but I want to list these here in one place even though the list is fairly small, as any list of the very best should be.
Movies:
Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back
Novels:
A Game of Thrones and A Storm of Swords by George R. R Martin, Dune by Frank Herbert
Non-fiction books:
The Creature from Jekyll Island by G. Edward Griffin
TV:
The Simpsons Seasons Three and Four, Twin Peaks Season One
Comic books:
Watchmen, Batman: The Killing Joke both written by Alan Moore
Music:
The Wall by Pink Floyd, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony

Why “The Wall” and not “Dark Side”?
Personally, while “The Wall” has affected me much more than “Dark Side”, I freely admit that the former tends to unravel by the end of Disc Two.

The only thing that unravels at the end of The Wall is the mental state of the character of Pink. The impact of the music and the drama/storyline that The Wall is about hits its peak at the end, in my opinion. This emotional impact is what makes the album better in my mind than Dark Side.
